Who We Are

P.R.A Business Solutions is a Tees Valley based partnership that was formed in early 2010 to bring together the combined skills and experiences of its two partners, Paul Mines and Steve Jones. Together they offer a range of high level business consultancy services including business planning, sourcing investment, provision of mentoring and business coaching, start up assistance and strategic planning. They are both approved business mentors under the North East of England Service Providers Register (NEESPR), and also approved to provide business advice and services.

Steve Jones | Senior Partner

Steve has over 22 years of experience within the private sector, particularly in manufacturing, and has held several board positions. Working across a range of major PLC’s through to SME’s, his accountancy background and experience of owning and managing companies has enabled him to witness business life at the sharp end. Steve’s exposure to all elements of operating a business from finance to operations, sales to procurement, marketing to new product development and launch, ensure that he has all of the bases covered when it comes to starting, operating and growing a business. He has operated his own business consultancy for the last 2½ years.

Paul Mines | Senior Partner

Paul has over 19 years of experience within the banking sector with Barclays Bank PLC, and in business support with Business Link North East. Working with a wide range of clients, Paul has helped many businesses to start up successfully and to grow and thrive in what have sometimes been difficult conditions. He understands what a business needs to succeed, and has a firm grasp on the current funding landscape of the Tees Valley in particular, and the North East in general. Paul has operated his own business consultancy for the last 3 years, and has a wealth of contacts throughout the public and private sectors.
